PRE-INTERMEDIATE COURSE, AUTUMN 2017, CLASS 3

We began by revising the future in Spanish; we need three elements:
1. voy, vas, va, vamos, vais, van
2. a
3. infinitive of verb – ending in “r” – comer, beber, ir, salir, etc……

Eg.
Esta noche, voy a ver la tele
El fin de semana, vamos a ir de vacaciones.
El año que viene, voy a viajar a España.

El año que viene – next year
El próximo año – next year

We then went on to learn about animals in Spanish…
El pato – the duck
El león – the lion
El conejo – the rabbit
La ballena – the whale
El delfín – the dolphin
El mono – the monkey
El lagarto – the lizard
El oso – the bear
La cabra – the goat
La gallina – the chicken (hen)
La araña – the spider
Un ratón – a mouse



¿Cuál es tu animal favorito….? – what is your favourite animal
Divertido – fun
Cariñoso – affectionate
Inteligente
Mono – cute
¿Tienes un animal doméstico? – do you have a pet?

We then learned how to compare two things…
Una ballena es más grande que un ratón – a whale is bigger than a mouse
Un gato es menos peligroso que un león – a cat is less dangerous than a lion

Hermoso – beautiful
Manso – tame
Asqueroso – disgusting
Sabroso - tasty
