Week 3

We began by discussing our ideal cities
En mi ciudad ideal, es obligatorio tener reuniones de cada barrio todos los meses
Está prohibido circular en coche en las calles
Las calles son sólo peatonales – the streets are pedestrianised.
Está prohibido fumar en las calles



We then looked at another video with more rules and regulations – on a building site
Está prohibido entrar sin guantes protectores.
Es obligatorio el uso de protectores para los oídos – The use of ear protectors is compulsory.

We briefly discussed the difference between ….
Los oídos – the inner ear – what you hear with…
Las orejas – the outer ear, the visible part of the ear.

We then went on to talk about films from p.7
Una película de terror – a horror film
………………….de vaqueros y indios – cowboys and Indians
Una película de guerra – a war film
Enfrentamientos bélicos – battles, confrontations (bélico – warlike)

We quickly talked about what films we have seen and not seen…
¿has visto Titanic? – have you seen Titanic?
Sí, lo he visto/ no, no lo he visto.

This is the Preterito Perfecto
Haber + past participle
Haber + verb-ado or verb-ido

He comido mucho – I have eaten a lot
He trabajado todo el día – I have worked all day
