BEGINNERS COURSE, TUESDAYS, CLASS 7

To begin we made an introduction to the use of Tú and Usted in informal and formal conversations.

Informal                 Formal

TÚ     (Singular)  USTED (Singular)

VOSOTROS/VOSOTRAS (Plural)    USTEDES (Plural)

We use TÚ in informal situations, with young people, with children, friends and family.

We use USTED in formal ssituation, at work, with old people, when we speak in public or with strangers.

¿Cómo te llamas (tú)?   ¿Cómo os llamáis (vosotros)?

¿Cómo se llama (usted)? ¿Cómo se llama (ustedes)?

Next we read the text on page 17

We see and differentiate the formal and informal uses, and the questions that are usually asked when you go to eat at a restaurant.

We made a game to practice the vocabulary of the restaurant that consisted of the following.

In group of three.

Imagine that you are responsible for a restaurant and you have to design the menu of the day for today. For that you are going to need:

Decide the name of your restaurant

Create a menu for the clients in which you write only the name of the dishes following the following structure:

2 Started
2 Main Course
2 desserts

Create a menu for the waiter where you write the name of the dish, the ingredients it carries and the way in which the food has been prepared.

Next, each group chooses a waiter. The waiter of group A, will attend the whole group B, who visits his restaurant.

Students must carry out their own interaction of a restaurant, in which they ask what dishes they want, the ingredients, etc.

Frases útiles para el camarero

¿Y de segundo?
¿Y para beber?
¿Qué quieren tomar de postre?

Frases útiles para los clientes

¿Qué lleva la sopa marinera? La sopa marinera lleva pescado.
Para mí, sopa marinera de primero
Para mí, también.
Pues para mí, ensalada a los 4 vientos.
De segundo, quiero pimientos rellenos.
Yo, también.
Pues yo, pechuga de pollo con patatas.
¿Me puede traer…?
