ELEMENTARY COURSE, AUTUMN 2017, CLASS 5

Today we discussed some people’s feelings and we agreed or disagreed to what our classmates said. Some examples are provided below.

Beyoncé – Se llama Beyoncé. Es una mujer. Es norteamericana y está casada. Tiene una hija. Es cantante. Yo creo que no está estresada. Ella está contenta. Yo creo que no tiene miedo. Parece que está relajada.
(Her name is Beyoncé. She’s a woman. She’s from the USA and she’s married. She has a daughter. She’s a singer. I don’t think she’s stressed. She’s happy. I don’t think she’s scared. She seems to be relaxed).

Los Beatles – Son los Beatles. Son cuatro cantantes y son de Liverpool. Están casados. Cantan sus propias canciones. Tocan instrumentos musicales. Ringo toca la batería y los otros tocan las guitarras. Son muy famosos. Yo creo que están cansados y están enfadados. No están contentos. Ringo tiene miedo y John está triste.
(They are The Beatles. They are four singers and they’re from Liverpool. They are married. They sing their own songs. They play instruments. Ringo plays the drums and the others play the guitars. They are very famous. I think that they are tired and they are angry. They aren’t happy. Ringo is scared and John is sad).

The children – Son dos niños. Son hermanos y son del sur de España. Tienen el pelo negro. Yo creo que tienen sueño. Pienso que están cansados y enfadados. Pienso que no están contentos. En mi opinión, tienen miedo.
(They are two children. They are siblings and they are from the south of Spain. They have dark hair. I think they are sleepy. I think they are tired and angry. I think they are not happy. In my opinion they are scared).

The man – Es un hombre. Es de España y está trabajando en una oficina. Está hablando por teléfono. Su novia le ha dejado. Tiene mala suerte. Pienso que está enfadado. No está contento. También pienso que está triste y está estresado.
(He is a man. He’s from Spain and he’s working in an office. He’s talking on the phone. Her girlfriend has dumped him. He has bad luck. I think he’s angry. He’s not happy. I also think that he’s sad and he’s stressed)
