We began by revising the Pretérito tense with regular and irregular verbs
AR
Viajé, viajaste, viajó, viajamos, viajasteis, viajaron

IR/ER
Asistí, asististe, asistió, asistimos, asististeis, asistieron

Irregulars
Conducir: conduje, condujiste, condujo, condujimos, condujisteis, condujeron
Andar: anduve, anduviste, anduvo, anduvimos, anduvisteis, anduvieron

We went on to listen to a news report about a robbery from p.12
Una joyería – a jeweller´s
Joyas – jewellery
Pendientes – earrings
Anillos – rings
Un collar – a necklace
Un brazalete – a bracelet
Una pulsera – a bracelet
Un reloj de pulsera – a watch

Encerrar – to shut in
Escaper – to escape
Detener – to arrest
Los lavabos – the bathroom
Los dependientes – the shop assistants.

We also translated some sentences in the past…..
Yesterday I wrote a letter and learned some Spanish.
Ayer escribí una carta y aprendí un poco de español.

Marisol closed a door and opened a window.
Marisol cerró una puerta y abrió una ventana.

We then went back to p.7 to talk about frequency in the present tense….
Me cepillo los dientes dos veces por día – I brush my teeth twice a day.
Salgo con los amigos semana sí, semana no – I go out with my friends every second week.
We asked and answered the following type of question
¿Con qué frecuencia lavas tu coche?

For homework we had to complete the Preterito part of the table on p.5
