ELEMENTARY COURSE, SPRING 2017, CLASS 6

NOTE: next week's class is in B1081 in the IT, it is at the other end of the college - turn right at the top of the stairs instead of left....


We began by revising Ser and Estar
                    ESTAR
                     SER
·         Ubicación – (location)
·         Emociones
·         Estados temporários (está sucio, está desarreglado etc...)


·         Nacionalidad (soy irlandés)
·         Religión (soy católico/a, es protestante)
·         Descripción (es alto, somos guapos)
·         Familia (este es mi hermano, soy padre)
·         La hora (son las cuatro)

We then looked again at meals
Las comidas – meals
El desayuno – breakfast – desayunar – to have breakfast

La comida – lunch – comer – to have lunch
El almuerzo – lunch – almorzar – to have lunch

La cena – dinner – cenar – to have dinner

We talked about what we have for various meals
Avena – porridge
Tostadas – toast
Una rebanada de pan – a slice of bread
pan integral - brown bread
verduras - vegetables

We learned other verbs in our daily routine….
Levantarse – to get up
Me levanto – I get up
Empezar – to start
Empiezo el trabajo – I start work
Volver – to return
Vuelvo a casa – I return home
Acostarse – to go to bed
Me acuesto – I go to bed

We asked and answered questions related to the daily routine…
¿A qué hora te levantas? – what time do you get up?
¿A qué hora desayunas? – what time do you have breakfast?
¿A qué hora empiezas el trabajo?
¿A qué hora te acuestas?
