We began by revising the advantages and disadvantages of various holidays
Un crucero es muy caro
Una caravana es incómoda
Un hotel es lujoso
No hay mucho espacio en una tienda de campaña

We mentioned different types of hotels in Spain
Un hotel
Un hostal – usually a small hotel, maybe family-run (not a hostel!)
Una pensión – a small, cheap hotel
Una casa de huéspedes – a guest house
Un albergue – a hostel
Una casa rodante – a mobile home

Quedarse – to stay
Alojarse – to stay (in a hotel or other paid accommodation)
Ir de campamento/acampar – to go camping
Un camping – a camp site

We briefly mentioned which holiday we would prefer

We listened to a conversation about plans for a trip to Mexico- p.11
Acabar de – to have just

Sacar los billetes – to get the tickets
Me hace mucha ilusión – I am really looking forward to it/ I can’t wait

We also discussed the verb Irse – it is different to the verb Ir
Irse – to go away, to head off, to begin a journey, to leave
Me voy – I’m off!
Nos vamos! – We’re going!

We then looked at the future tense
To talk in the future, we simply add the endings to the infinitive
é, ás, á, emos, éis, án.
Iré, irás, irá, iremos, iréis, irán.

There are some irregular verbs in the future
Tener – tendré, tendrás……
