BEGINNERS 2 COURSE, 2016, CLASS 6

This week we revised the last two dialogues from last week and then we learnt the colours.
Rojo/roja – red
Azul – blue
Negro/negra – black
Verde – Green
Gris – grey
Blanco/blanca – White
Amarillo/amarilla – yellow
Marrón – Brown

Note: colours must go after the noun in Spanish


Unos zapatos rojos – red shoes
Un sombrero negro – a black hat
Unos vaqueros verdes – green jeans
Un abrigo amarillo – a yellow coat
Unos pantalones azules – blue jeans
Un vestido blanco – a White dress
Una falda amarilla – a yellow skirt
Un suéter marrón – a Brown sweater
Unos calcetines grises – grey socks
Una camiseta roja – a red t-shirt
Una camisa negra – a black shirt
Una corbata amarilla – a yellow tie
Unos zapatos marrones – Brown shoes
Una bufanda roja – a red scarf

To finish, we described someone in the room and the rest of the class had to guess who the person was.

Two examples:
Lleva una camiseta roja, unos vaqueros y unas zapatillas negras. Tiene el pelo corto y lleva gafas – He’s wearing a red t-shirt, a pair of jeans and black runners. He has short hair and he’s wearing glasses.

Lleva un suéter de lana y unos pantalones negros. Lleva unas botas marrones y tiene el pelo largo. – She’s wearing a woolen sweater and black jeans. She’s wearing Brown boots and she has long hair.
