We began by revising parts of the body in Spanish
El cuerpo - the body
la espalda - the back
el hombro - the shoulder
el cuello - the neck
el oído - the inner ear

We then went on to illnesses
Me duele - it hurts
me duele la muela - my tooth hurts
Me duele el pie - my foot hurts
Me duelen los pies - my feet hurt
Tengo la pierna rota - I have a broken leg
Tengo el brazo roto - I have a broken arm
Roto is an adjective, and so has to agree with the noun

We then learned a simple conversation

¿Qué te pasa? - What's wrong with you?

¡Qué pena! - that's too bad

Deberías ir al médico - you should go to the doctor.

Me duele la cabeza - my head hurts

Sí, estoy mal.



Enfermedades - illnesses
Tengo un resfriado - I have a cold
Tengo tos - I have a cough
Tengo la gripe - I have the flu
Tengo fiebre - I have fever

We also learned some other ways of giving advice
Consejo - advice

Deberías - You should
Debes - you must
Hay que - it is necessary to...

...ir al médico/dentista - go to the doctor/dentist
......descansar - rest
..... tomar una aspirina - take an aspirin


We then began to learn how to describe a person...


Tiene los ojos azules - He has blue eyes
........................verdes - ..........green eyes
....................marrones - ....brown eyes
