We began by revising some expressions connected to transport
una ida y vuelta - a return ticket
una ida - a single
Deme - give me
un retraso - a delay
un anden - a platform
un vagón - a train carriage

We then moved on to talking about the house in Spanish
las habitaciones - rooms
el dormitorio - the bedroom
el salón - the living room
el comedor - the dining room
el cuarto de baño - the bathroom
el vestíbulo - the hall
la cocina - the kitchen (cocina has a number of meanings, it also means cuisine)

el jardín de delante - the front garden
el jardín de atrás - the back garden
un césped - a lawn
la hierba - grass
los árboles - trees
las flores - flowers

la planta baja - the ground floor
la primera planta - the first floor

We talked about different types of houses
un piso = un apartamento - an apartment
una casa adosada - a semi-detached house
una casa independiente - a detached house
una casa alquilada - a rented house

vivo en el campo - I live in the country
en el medio del campo - in the middle of the country
vivo en las afueras de la ciudad - on the outskirts
en un pueblo - in a town/village
