We went on to learn how to talk about the future in Spanish. There are two ways to do this.

1). Ir + a + Infinitive

This is the equivalent of "I am going to do" in English
We need three elements
(i) the verb Ir
voy, vas, va, vamos, vais , van

(ii) the word "a"

(iii) the infinitive of the verb..... comer, ir, ser, estar, hacer, etc....

Voy a salir este fin de semana - I am going to go out this weekend
Vamos a estudiar esta noche - We are going to study tonight.
¿Vas a limpiar tu dormitorio? - Are you going to clean your bedroom?

2). The Future tense

The second way of talking about the future is by adding endings to the infinitive...
There is no difference between AR, ER and IR verbs...

The endings are ..... é, ás, á, emos, éis, án.

Comeré - I will eat

Comerás - you will eat

Comerá - he/she will eat
Comeremos - we will eat

Comeréis - you (plural) will eat

Comerán - they will eat

There are some irregular verbs..

Tener - tendré......

Salir - saldré....

Venir - vendré...

Poner - pondré....

Hacer - haré.....
Poder - podré......

Saber - Sabré...

Querer - Querré....

Decir - diré...

Haber - ....habrá.....

We talked about the verb Haber, which, in the present tense is Hay - there is/there are
Haber is only used in the Third Person
