INTERMEDIATE COURSE, AUTUMN 2014, CLASS 3

In our third lesson, we continued talking about trips. We worked on the activity 11 and we read the text. Some words or expressions we did not understand:
Viajar a todo tren – Expression that means ‘to travel quickly’
Los pasajeros disponen de dos días – Passengers have two days
Bullicio – crowd
El tren se detiene en Córdoba – The train stops in Córdoba
La Mezquita – The Mosque
Estación de Chamartín – Train station situated in the northern area of Madrid

We also commented on the position of the symbol € in Spanish compared to English:
English: 4 euro à €4
Spanish: 4 euros à 4€
We put in order the pictures above the text. The answers are: B-A-H-E-G-F-C-D

In pairs, we worked on activity 12. We planned our own trip by using future tenses. Different structures were put in practice:
Ir a + verb infinitive form    e.g. Vamos a ir a la playa – We are going to the beach.
Future simple                         e.g. Iremos al campo – We will go to the countryside.
First conditional (Si + present simple, future simple clause)
Si tenemos tiempo, iremos a ver el museo – If we have time, we will go and see the museum.

Some of the answers were:
Vamos a ir a México en avión – We are going to México by plane
Comeremos comida típica mejicana– We will eat typical Mexican food.
Si tenemos tiempo, visitaremos el museo del Prado en Madrid – If we have time, we will visit the Prado museum in Madrid.
Recorreremos México en una semana – We will go around México for a week.
Si tenemos dinero, comeremos tapas y beberemos vino – If we have money, we will eat tapas and we will drink wine.
