We began by revising vocab for television and films...

We moved on to talk about television
Las noticias - the news
Las telenovelas - soap operas
Los documentales - documentaries
Las series policíacas - police series
Los programas de entrevistas - chat shows
Los programas de deporte - sports programmes
Las comedias - comedies
Los concursos - contests
Los reality shows

Es aburrido - it is boring
Es divertido - it's entertaining
Es gracioso - it's funny
Es fascinante - it's fascinating
Es relajante - it's relaxing

Las películas - films
Las películas de ciencia-ficción - science fiction films
Las películas de risa - comedies
Las películas de terror - horrors
Las películas de época - period films, historical films.
Trata de.... - it's about....
Los personajes principales - the main characters
La película está ambientada en.... - the film is set in.....

We then described films and used some interesting vocabulary
Enanos - dwarves
Un mago - a wizard
Un tiburón - a shark

We then, in groups, produced our own films using some more vocab
Una isla - an island
Los juegos olímpicos - the Olympic games
Una llama

We also talked about superstitions
(no) soy supersticioso/a - superstitious
Mala suerte - bad luck
Buena suerte - good luck
Una escala - a ladder
Debajo de - under
Caerse la sal - drop salt
Romper un espejo - to break a mirror
Siete años de mala suerte - seven years of bad luck.

For homework we had to do the exercise on page 14, "Le gusta, no le gusta"
This is practicing saying "she likes/ he likes" for which we need the pronoun "le"
