INTERMEDIATE COURSE, AUTUMN 2013, CLASS 3
Miércoles, el 30 de octubre
Our last session in the intermediate course was about Spain: culture and stereotypes.
We talked about our experiences in Spain and how they were. We talked about Spanish culture and we saw and discussed some pictures about Spanish festivals, such as San Fermín in Pamplona o Feria de Abril in Seville.
We also talked about Spanish stereotypes and we saw some examples of these in a very funny way. Some of these examples can be seen on the following webpage (worth watching):
Other important point of this session was Spanish habits. We saw the differences between Irish and Spanish when it comes to introduce someone (we kiss instead of shaking hands with women) or we talked about our “siestas”.
The second part of our session was about traditional Spanish food. We talked about “tapas”, ham or cheese and our experiences with these kinds of food. We also learnt how to make “tortillas” and “gazpacho”.
