We looked again at some verbs for pastimes..

Ir al cine - to go to the cinema
Ir de compras - to go shopping
Ir de copas - to go for a drink
Nadar - to swim
Jugar al golf - to play golf
Tocar un instrumento - to play an instrument
Pasear en el campo - to go for a walk in the country
Dormir - to sleep
Cantar - to sing
Bailar - to dance
Cocinar - to cook

We added some verbs
Pintar - to paint
Dibujar - to draw
Correr - to run
Pescar - to fish

¿Qué te gusta hacer en tu tiempo libre? - What do you like to do in your free time?
Me gusta leer - I like reading
Le gusta leer - he/she likes reading

We then looked at how to conjugate some verbs in the Present tense
Regular verbs
AR verbs
Nadar - Yo nado, tú nadas, él/ella nada
Bailar - bailo, bailas, baila

ER Verbs
Leer - Yo leo, tú lees, él/ella lee.
Comer - como, comes, come
Correr - corro, corres, corre

Irregular verbs
Ir - Yo voy, tú vas, él/ella va
Jugar - juego, juegas, juega

We then  went on to learn about how to describe people physically.

Tiene los ojos azules/ verdes/ marrones - he/she has blue/green/brown eyes.
Tiene el pelo largo/ corto - he/she has long/short hair

Lleva barba/bigote / gafas - He/she wears a beard/ a moustache /glasses

Es guapo/a - He/she is good looking
Es feo/a - he/she is ugly
Es rubio/a - he/she is blond
Es moreno/a - he/she is brunette
Es alto/a - he/she is tall
Es bajo/a - he/she is short
Es viejo/a - he/she is old
Es joven - he/she is young
